Just a quick thank you to the people out there who helped me with the last questions I posted.
I have an ALARM FAULT message come up on the dash.
Does anyone know how I get rid off it, the alarm seems to work fine.

Do I take nine fuses out spin around twice and say a prayer, thats how most of the problems I have had sort themselves.

This thing on four wheels does my head in, but I love it!!!!!

Good chance (95&#37 that it's the ultrasonic sensor located on the headlining on the passenger side. Improved design fitted after about 1998

i had same trouble friend told me to lock and unlock using the key i did that and alarm fault warning disapeared no problem since hope it works for you

Sorry to drag up an old thread but this is the highest ranked thread on google regarding this issue and i wanted to ask for myself and others about a temp fix as i had a rather stressful 20 mins this morning while my alarm was going off on it own.

I un bolted the box under the bonnet on the left above the alarm siren, then squeezed the plug to the siren and pulled it out. Problem solved. It stopped.

But tell me, seeing as these cars are worth about £600, im not bothered about it being alarmed, to be fair if it got nicked they would do me a favour. So can i now just leave the siren unplugged or whill there be an effect?

I think that depends on the year. Mines unplugged with no ill effects.

A slim chance the BECM may have defaulted to the wrong sounder. Defaulting from BBUS to klaxon if you have a BBUS sounder will cause this. If you have klaxon sounder (two wires to plug) there should be no problem, if you disconnect the battery. But if you have BBUS sounder (four wires to plug) you need to disarm it before battery is disconnected. This is done by turning ignition to position II then off and disconnecting sounder within 17 seconds. Otherwise alarm will sound for 40 minutes. To silence it if this happens, reconnect battery disable alarm and turn ignition to position II. See RAVE for better instructions. Check fuse 33, power to back up batteries, and fuse 35 direct sounder power. Alarm thinks battery is disconnected if either fuse is blown and will trigger sounder driven by back up batteries.
