does anyone have any ideas for please

Best to look at "rswsolutions" site first and try and work your way thro he problem systematically...... BUT if you want a quick fix you MAY be lucky.. when washing off te car did you get a lot of water around the EAS driver pack? It may be that it`s acting up cause of that.
If so wait for it to dry, and while doing that, as above checkout rswsolutions etc,as you WILL need `em sooner or later. (try saying a few words to whatever diety you believe in too, can`t do much harm can it?)

Driver pack is a sealed unit you could put it in a bucket of water without ill effect. How do you get water near the driver pack washing the car? Bit of a silly answer that one.

Whatever caused the problem if all the lights are lit you are likely to need the EAS software to unlock the EAS. PM me if you want the cable & CD.

1800 psi from a steam cleaner will do it, I'd say it depends on what you use to wash it...would also cause fuse box prob's

He said he washed his car not steamed the engine bay. Anyway no harm can come to the actual driver pack from that either. The plug to the loom maybe but not the driver pack itself. I have a steamer, not recommended to wash a car with on full power and heat it does remove paint quite well.

Get a cable and unlock software, it'll save you paying someone else to reset the faults that are likely to keep coming until its sorted.

I was getting faults from the supension in different areas, quite regular. Once i'd changed the seals in the compresor, everything was fine from then on. I didn't realise the compressor was slow until i recondintioned it. Really easy to do and cheap for the seal kit.

I can back that up.. I've had my bonnet open with the lance in there blasting all the gubbins away after a moderate day off the beaten track, I've left my engine running though whilst she's having a nice shower

Even a Petrol Stations jet wash can cause problems, we have "Potted" ecm's fitted to the machines at work, these have been known to to suffer from water ingress occasionally.

Yes i am sure they do occasionally. VERY, VERY occasionally. And far more likely to be water getting on the connecting plugs rather than the potted unit itself. But for the purpose of this excersise i would suggest that washing the car with bonnet closed would not effect the driver pack, even steaming the engine would be unlikely to do it. It was a clutching at straws answer by the OP. And not very likely. Far more likely to be water ingress into a height sensor. Just using a pressure washer to clean an engine can cause problems with electrics, but much less chance with a steam cleaner. All thing are possible just some less likely than others.

Just to add to this i will give a senario with multi choice answers to test the likelyhood of certain events.

You are sitting in your Rangie on the harbour car park at Looe. All of a sudden whithout warning a large splat of white goo hits your windscreen.

Is it.

A: Pancake batter inadvertently splashed from a pan through the open galley window of a passing alien space craft?

B: Semen from a whale practicing safe sex five miles out at sea?

C: Seagull ****?

Please tick the most likely answer.

Might i suggest that anyone who answers anything other than C, does not answer questions reference EAS.
