Cheers wOn the drive a couple of hours should see them sorted if you know what you are doing. No need to remove arch liners but does make it easier if you do.
Cheers wammers, gonna be a mechanic friend doing them, though he's never done them before. I'll tell him about the linersOn the drive a couple of hours should see them sorted if you know what you are doing. No need to remove arch liners but does make it easier if you do.
When I did mine, they were so corroded they were never coming out.A lever under the top and bottom plates soon sheared off the old pins. Make sure you clean up were the new springs locate otherwise they can be a bugger to fit.Recommend either good pair of loooooong nose pliers or a wee hook on the end of a wire coat hanger to remove the pins on the old springs
We've got a 4.6 p38 on a 99 plate that needs two new front air springs, can anyone tell me how long it takes to change them and any other tips or hints. Many thanks
I need a couple of fronts on mine too, what air springs did you buy? I don't know whether to buy the Dunlop or the Arnott gen iii things.
Gen III are a waste of money unless you are going to use the extra lift they provide. Which needs a lot of mods to the suspension. It is a choice between Dunlops and Gen II. I went for Dunlops and they are fine. And a lot cheaper.

a couple of hours to do a pair of front airbags wammers... how many cups of tea are you stopping for ?
doesn't that dictate how many times you stop to pee ?
Yes - but they tend to be concurrent.Including groans and associated bone creaking noises?
You sound fit.Not entirely, but the length of time spent getting up off the floor is a square of the time taken to get down to the power of three.
