Hi All.

Thank you for checking out my post. I'm having a little difficulty with a P38.
After being parked up over night, it just wouldnt start. the imobaliser went out of synch. it took a few attempts on the T4 to re-adapt then it started. But after this, when it started it was running rough and has lost all power. plugged the T4 back in and gave faults no. 1 bank lambda and no.2 bank fuel trim. changed the sensor. now giving no. 2 lambda and when tracking live data both banks are out of trim. the Fuel adaptions have been reset each time.
Also, since resetting the adaptions the spare key. which wasnt with the vehicle now doesnt work. looking on the T4 there doesnt appear to be a way of reprogramming the keys.

Hopefully someone can offer some help. Thank you very much

Not sure about your fuel trims, but I would drive it for a while after resetting the adaptions and see if it improves.if it does not then they may have adapted originally to overcome a defect and now resetting them has caused the original fault to show up.

The keys cannot be reprogrammed by Testbook,T4 etc.
They can only be resynced to the vehicle they were originally factory programmed for.The resync procedure is in the owners handbook or in rave.

Thanks John.
That sounds like resonable assumption. That may explain why the fault happened after an adaptions reset. To affect both banks, I believe the fault must be induction side, though T4 not giving any faults. may be MAF. air / vac leak. hopefully we'll get to the bottom of it and keep you posted.

thanx
