The tyre centres never seem to set the tracking right, I am not sure if its the modern equipment and the half day training but new tyres and tracking set and its always ends up with bad steering and tyres wearing on the inside. The fluid coupling in the transfer box is still good, I have changed the knuckle ball joints, steering damper and various ball joints over time.
I asked one lad who was setting it what was the amount and he said I don't know I put the reg in and set it into the green!
Anything I am missing before I get new tyres fitted?

Doesn't sound like he knows what he's doing, I always use Just Tyres, for tracking they do, don't know if there is one in your area though.

I did my own à few year ago. I set it with 3mm toe out using a tape measure and wood clamped to the wheels. Been good since then. ;)

I thought according to Wammers it was set parallel.
a lot of places dont understand that there are two rods that need setting correctly in the right order.

Thanks for the replies, think I will have a go at the tracking myself first to see if its miles out, its due MOT soon and new front tyres so need to get it right first.

Check the VCU as well if it is scrubbing tyres.

I have a very cheap laser alignment tool that is great for setting the tracking parallel, perfect for the P38. It's slightly less useful for for getting toe in/out correct on other cars.
