Hi, does anybody know where I can get a good quality clutch kit from please

You want the Valeo one. I got mine from Eurocarparts. Ring the main number and they usually give a discount.

Make sure you use brand new spiral pins while you're in there and bang a second lot up the middle or the shaft from a rivet or similar. Check the clutch fork really carefully. Under the dust covers the bushes are Teflon coated brass and it wears allowing friction material in and then it starts binding and a) the spiral pins snap and b) the clutch wears out because it is like riding the clutch all day. New bushes cost an eye-watering amount from Land Rover but you have no choice but to bend-over and bite down on an old belt. Dust covers can be had from Wych Bearings.

Or there's a place near Huddersfield that does racing clutches that will make up a heavy duty one for you if you explain what you want. Assuming there're still in business. Cannot recall the name but they'll be in one of my threads. Clutchfix?

+1 on the roll pins in the arm i have had mine go twice, the are now triple pined and having to take that lot out just for two roll pins is a right ball ache
the last clutch i got was a LU one but the bits in the box were Valeo so that was a result

Thank you for the help, I have had to put the clutch on hold for the time being, It was booked in for the rear wheel arches doing but they have told me it needs to new rear quarter panels, does anybody know we're I would get them from. Please.
Thank you

Only the carpet :D

The one under the hood :p

Some are starting to show neglect around the rear end, earlier ones seem to fare better imo? Maybe it’s geographical like nearer the sea or something? Definitely worse if they have the plastic lip around the edges, another reason to get a dt

The 94 was solid the 98 has had some work done by me,both in the same geographical area obviously. Don't think the early one had been off road. The later had been down the farm with mud and sheep sh1t .
