Well, gone and done it, bought an N plate 2.5dse in Niagra Grey. The only
thing is there is only one key. Is it easy enough to get hold of another one
or is it a big problem.

TIA,
Barno.

Not a problem, just expensive.
Over £100 from dealer.

Saying that their have been a couple of people
supplying key & remote separately.

Can't recall names. I'm sure someone will point you in the right
direction or try good old Google

Gerry.

Gerry, thanks for that, thought that might be the case, I will keep looking
on e-bay and try Google.

there was a very long thread on this very subject a while back, and basically you can get keys off ebay, and get them laser cut, and programmed elsewhere etc, but the end of it was dont bother, im afraid its one of those things there is no cheap way round it. you have to go to your main dealer for this one, its around £100 like gerry said. you will have to attend in person as you cant order over the phone, and it isnt immediate, so you will have to go back to collect it, so dont lose the key you have!

Be VERY wary of this. I do not know of ANY way to reprogram a key to a
new vehicle, other than the Land Rover source of the keys.

If someone can send me a key remote for a 1997 Range Rover, with
instructions on how to program it to my car, and I can make thost
instructions work, I'll send it back with a refund of the postage, and
advertise the service on www.p38a.co.uk. I don't believe it can be
done.
