OK I've noticed bracket has 2 mounting holes whichever hole its in whether clockwise or anti clockwise its either touching crank pulley or AC pulley

Can’t even fit my phone in there properly to take pic for you
This is lying underneath with your legs hanging out front of vehicle

You can see the belt is above the tensioner not around it

It’s not touching on mine don’t think it will adjust that far but you can see the position of lock nut. I’ve always snugged it up by hand no exact torque

I've tried both holes on bracket with tensioner in top hole was very hard to get belt on, in bottom hole it was a doddle but whichever hole when tensioner is turned in either direction it touches 1 or the other there is a bit of play in AC pulley but wouldn't have thought it would make it touch pulleys

It can only be too long.. Or the pulley is wrong??
So what has changed and was it fine before the last intervention?

I had trouble with mine if I remember right I put a 4pk830 belt on, I will have a look when I get home packet should still be in the boot.

Its sorted now thanks peeps, the pictures helped, I had pushed tensioner up by hand and thought it was touching AC pulley but I tried again, refitted pushed it up and put in Allen key and noticed it had a bit of spring so I gave it a little push tightened up bolt and noticed the 2pulkeys were not actually touching but about 1-2mm apart so tried AC and it works fine with not a sound, I cycled it on and off about 12-15 times and it works perfectly with no noise at all

Yeah I was lying on back looking up and I thought it was tight to AC pulley then took a closer look and thought maybe the gap wasnt big because pictures posted looked very close aswell
