Heyo, my HVAC screen is struggling to wake up. Its lit up, but quite dark. (The system still works, apart from book symbol… low gas i think..)

note my picture is even at night time…
It seems to work sometimes, sometimes not that brigth..

if i touch it (like a calculator) it brigthens were i touch at the time i touch and hold my finger there.

Do i need to aquire a new screen? Or is it just s bulb?
Any links to fleebay?
I’ve had the hvac out before, when i needed some space fixing my stereo cables.

cheers

the book symbol doesnt come on to indicate low system pressure, more likely a blend motor issue
the backlight looks nice and bright, but the display is faint, coming better when you press it, so likely the screen connector is bad and needs replacing

Do you have the dash lights turned up? Turn on your headlights, turn your dash lights up to full brightness, turn off the lights and see if that has made a difference.

i have full brightness always on the dash but i will experiment with this after work :)
I just find it odd that it sometimes just arent bright.. I know the dash light is included in the memory feature but i havent used my memory, because i am the only one using the car

Well you see, i had a session of using up my battery 10x times. Dipped down to 5volts, probably even less volts. (I recharged the battery fully after)

It was my fault i had to use my starter for so long  i changed edc to early from late with my nanocom a nd didnt think of anything

This is a huge silver calcium battery on 120ah, 880ccu or smth cant remember....

Do i need a new battery probably? or should i check my resting voltage first?

charge it up, over a couple of days if its a small charger, leave it 24h and measure the voltage. put it on the car and start the engine, measure the voltage across the battery terminals as its cranking.
if the volts are below 12.5v after 24h rest then its on a downward spiral. voltage much under 11v while cranking means the same.. if it drops to 10v while cranking then its likely toast.. try using a desulphation charge at this point if your charger has the option

If the battery has been down to 5 volts, you would have to be very lucky for it to recover.
MF31-1000 from Battery Megastore on line 1000CCA;) No connection, just a happy customer.:D

Only thing i know what my charger does is, its chargin at 15amps, it has 6 stages of charging, and different modes (chargin in winter, or silent mode) etc.

i will monitor my battery closely and see if i need a new battery. I find it weird that when i take off the dash lights the screen + rest of hvac lights goes brighter.

Could be there is a bad earth connection.
