hello me again on air suspension, turns out the driver pack is showing old age, this means it loses air overnight,it would appear the valves are tired, the pump in the driver box is running almost constantly, now you can buy service kits for these,or is it worth trying to find a reconditioned one,or go for new, which may mean going for the compressor as well.

Who told you it was the driver pack?

Sounds much more likely to be leaky o rings in the valve block if you can't find any other leaks.

There are overhaul kits available for the valve blocks. I need to do mine sometime but everything else keeps breaking so I've not got round to it yet.

Look on Ebay for the Dutch company that sells compressor overhaul and uprating kits.

Sounds much more like leaks than a Driver pack, have you done a proper leaks test.

no i haven't done a leak test yet,how is this done,soapy water?
sorry this is all very new to me,thankyou for any help you can give,
the pump does run a fair bit,and i am worried i will wear it out prematurely.

i have also replaced all the airbags, does it need resetting,or will it set itself, airbags on the suspension that is.

yep leaky o rings,is that where the pipe goes in?i put some soapy water there, and sure enough loads of bubbles, but only on no3,how do i go about replacing these,do you just unscrew the valve?or remove the whole box.

There are numerous orings in the valve block. The block must be removed to replace these.Have a look at PaulP38A.com .There is a pictoral guide on there on how to overhaul the valve block.

My advice is to do each valve in turn rather than as shown on PaulP38A. It just keeps thing easier to remember where they go.

I'd get around to it. The valve kit works 99% of the time. The compressor kit works provided the compressor cylinder and bearing haven't gotten totally shagged. Then you'll need a new compressor.

i know exactly how you feel,i was close to breaking point with mine, the only thing is when they work, what a fine vehicle they are,but when they breakdown they can be so frustrating.
i do try and keep the petrol can a fair distance from the truck, but the temptation can be strong!

Regarding the airdryer, do you plan to get a new one or replace the stuff inside it?
