I can tell ya that it should have a BMW 2.5 6 cylinder TD engine but can't help you with the fault.
Make sure the vacuum pipe (about 6mm OD) from the inlet manifold (outlet is underneath just back from the oil filter) to the manifold absolute pressure sensor (switch located on the fuel filter) is connected and not split anywhere. If it is the ECU assumes a default value which limits fuel delivery meaning it'll struggle pulling a load above 50mph.
would a fault on the above pressure sensor cause running problems?, as when i changed my engine it snapped off,i glued it back on and since then it runs very lumpy and seems to lack power.Make sure the vacuum pipe (about 6mm OD) from the inlet manifold (outlet is underneath just back from the oil filter) to the manifold absolute pressure sensor (switch located on the fuel filter) is connected and not split anywhere. If it is the ECU assumes a default value which limits fuel delivery meaning it'll struggle pulling a load above 50mph.
