Against all advice I replaced the front radius arm bushes with poly and haven't noticed any difference in ride quality and it points where you steer it, the old ones (not poly) were fecked and not that old. If you replaced all the bushes you will probably have a harsher ride as other people have found.

Yup, they are not as easy as the Classic, special tool (£90) is needed they say but I managed the last set by warming up the bushes, squeezing them with Jubilee clips and pressing them through the clips into the arms. Bit of a bugger.
Mine's 20 years old and on original bushes. I will replace with original. If dirt gets in and the part moves a lot then it may sandpaper the poly away. Hate the idea of a harsher ride too. My steering still goes where I point it. Tyres or knackered bushes?

My original bushes lasted 12 years, the replacements lasted 5. I thought I would give the poly's a try, only on the front of the radius arms and I must admit I haven't noticed any difference in the ride. The old ones were completely fecked and caused vagueness in the steering.

I fitted poly bushes to mine about 6 months ago,thought I,d done the wrong thing at first as everything felt itbwas solid afterwards but its all settled down now and have a smooth ride
Nah. He is just numb from the spine down and doesn't feel the bumps anymore!They are wearing out nicely then.
