I'm back in the Landy business after regrettably selling my 99 Disco I a few years ago, I purchased a 1970 Series 2a, 88 SW. I'ts been a real peach so far......However, when I depress the clutch pedal, nothing happens. It starts fine as long as it's in neutral. The pedal depresses fine, but it's not doing anything. I checked the fluid reservoir and it's full. What next? Any ideas:confused:
Thanks

Try bleeding the clutch fluid. Check for leaks at the slave cylinder end.

If all else fails change the slave cylinder and master cylinder.

When you say nothing happens do you mean there is no resistance to the pedal or that you have a normal pedal feel without the disengagement happening? If it's the latter and the vehicle has been stood then the driven plate is probably stuck to the flywheel.
In this case you will have to tow start the tub in second gear and go for a drive with your foot permanently on the clutch. If you use the hand throttle to give you some road speed and smack the brake pedal regularly enough you might just hear a loud bang and get yourself a clutch back. Enjoy;)

The pedal moves, however, there is nothing mechanical going on. I'll try bleeding it first and then let you know if there's something else too.
Thanks a bunch for the replies. :)

Bleeding the line worked perfectly! The bloke that owned her before me didn't love her much. There's a laundry list of stuff to do, and I'm not sure where to begin. Thanks for the help! I'll probably be back soon.
