Hi at the weekend was out for a drive, noticed temp shooting up right onto the red light i pulled over straight away to a cloud of steam coming out of bonnet. it seems to be coming from side of radiator. ive been told to use "radweld" is this any good? and if not anyone know rough price of getting a new radiator fitted?
thanks

You can try radweld if you like cos it does work, but personally I would repair it properly.

Get it filled up with water and see where exactly where it's leaking and if the radiator is in good condition and the leak is a hole caused by a stone, then get it repaired. If it's dodgy then an exchange one, most rad repair agents will keep one on the shelf. Phone around for prices!!

I bought an exchange large capacity radiator for my disco and it was £130. It's not exactly a major job getting them out, so have a go yourself, top it up with antifreeze, make sure all the air is out of the system and bobs yer uncle.

Hello Rangerryan,

What type of RR do you have P38? Petrol?

Replacment Rad for P38 Desiel is around 200 Euros, easy to fit, but you will need to do several other checks once fitted, await your reply

Cheers Dutch RR

I bought mine for a 4.6 from an outfit in south london they posted out same day for 100quid took about 20 mins to fit you would be able to do it yourself and save a bit of dosh
