Afternoon All!
Just been to top up the oil in the gearbox, transfer box and overdrive. Gearbox was fine, just a little dribbled out when i removed the fill plug; the transfer box was nearly empty and the overdrive was overflowing (well! Dip stick had oil nearly all the way to the top).
Now, the questions are these:
1) D'you reckon i've done any/much damage to me transfer box (not driven far like this)?
2) Can i damage the overdrive with too much in it?
3) is there a breather on the overdrive that would release the surplus, or, is that the reason i now have leaks where there were none before?
4) How come the gearbox wasn't overfull with transfer box oil and the overdrive was?
First time i've had to poke around under that bit, so forgive the more than likely daft questions. landrover been off the road more than it has been on - one of the many joys of a series, eh?
