Hi. The outer waist seals on my disco 1 are pretty shabby, badly bubbled up. They're not made anymore I believe, anyone know where I could get my hands on a full set? I came across a resto video on You Tube which strips the aluminium U channel out and refits, that's an option, anyone tried it?

I have no idea what you mean by waist seals but don't worry I am the odd one out! Others will come along and chat to you!:)
 
He is referring to the seals on the doors directly below the windows, mine also have bubble up so will watch

Ah, yes, I'd a called em summat different but I know what you mean and yes, mine're bubbly too! So I too will watch with interest!
 
Obsolete & obsolescent then.:(
When parts were available at the main dealer for the 300 series, the part numbers were:
Front are obsolete.
Front LH BTR2935
Front RH BTR2956

Rear are obsolescent and before VIN VA obsolete.
Rear LH ASR2525 from VIN VA714596
Rear RH ASR2524 from VIN VA714596
 
Without trying to hijack the thread but it is similar I hope you'll agree, what is the situation with the inner window seals on a D2? My nearside front passenger window winding mechanism stopped working and I had to fix it real quick so the inner seal went west rapidly.
I now need a new one, could anyone give me a part number for one?
I'd be ever so grateful.
