I know the recovery firm ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349791631.464125.jpg

I'm in the heavy recovery game and all i can say is he must of been a very sloppy operator.
If the towed vehicle is sat on the boom forks/pedestals correctly and chained correctly there is no way it's coming off unless something fails and then it can't be classed as an unsecure load but equipment failure.

Unless the feckers hoofin it round corners:eek:

Usually it is a tanker that falls over just by the M4 junction. I spend way too much time going up and down that road!

wasnt there a law at 1 time saying that any HGV being towed, had to be emptied of its load first? ie the trailer or if possible the cargo? i may be miss informed.

can remember as a kid going out with old man to recover a wagon when we got ther it was a recovery wagon towing an artic. Due to the fact he was going out on a works freebie pis up,out came the swan neck attached it to mamouth (i think) a bit of messing around with brakes and off we went. great fun as a kid looking back it was totally insane thing to do "why make two journey's when you can make one!" If he did that now bye bye licience

No law against it:confused: but a bit of common sense prevails sometimes,ie the type of load and how secure it is.
I NEVER have agreed with towing an artic and trailer together be it loaded or not as i think it's dangerous.
it's OK to move it a small distance to get it out of danger to itself or others but after that they should be two seperate recoveries.
Just my opinion but hay ho:rolleyes:
