going to view this on sat
as the other one i was going to view has become well dodgy.
had an mot and now suddenly doesnt. So swerving it and going to view this instead.

Anything visible that ive missed?

I agree it looks a bit tired but then that might be a better thing than tarted up hiding all sorts of problems!

It says 12 seats but I can only see 10.

Either way though, check your licence allows you to drive a vehicle with more than 8 seats. I think you need category D1 (minibus).

Hard to tell from pics taken facing into the sun!

Bottom of drivers door looks in poor nick but not the end of the world.

Rear cross member looks rusty, but hard to tell if just surface or deeper.

Same advice as before - crawl all over chassis and bulkhead. Check engine for smoking, strange noises etc. Take him for a decent run, keeping an eye on temperature and listening for clunks, loud whines and feeling how clutch, transmission and brakes behave.

Anything is repairable with time and money.

On the face of it could become a good one, but truly a hard call from these photos.

On the plus side - it's only done 1 mile!

This photo guide might give you some pointers

and make sure you at least do a text check for stolen etc.

Doesn't look to bad, door's look a bit rotten at the bottom but there not hard to re skin.
On a 110 csw check the B/C posts and sills especially where i passes through the rear wheel arch, have a feel at the back of them as well and check the sill running from the bulkhead all the way past the rear bottom seat belt mount. These are costly to replace but easy ish to repair if you can weld

ill have to check my licence lets me drive a 12 seater (altho its only 10!)

its all gone pear shape any way, my insurance has gone from quotes of 400 to 2000
no idea why so going to ring them today and find out wtf.

was the last vehicle you got a quote on a van back ?

CSWs were more expensive to insure for me - not 1500 quid more but a fair bit more.

Rang insurance, its because i have 12 seats. So its over 4k!!
They said if i make it 7 seats it will be 500quid.
So looks like thats what im going to have to do.
I mean i wont need the 12 seats. but its a bit **** that they never picked this up in the first place! they just assumed it was 5 seats. It rolled out the factory with 12.

When i bought my 110csw it was a 12 seater, i was OK to drive it because i have the older license with the entitlement.
But to get cheaper insurance i got the 2 three seater bench seat and the front centre seat removed. so i turned in to a 5 seater 110CSW my insurance was just the same as my car.

Oh i then put some exmoor trim high back seat in the rear and a cubby box in the front they were so comfy

nope. not happening.
no insurance company will insure me for less than 2k.

There 4-500quid quote was based on it as my second car. i dont own 2 cars. I use a work van thats it.
So they wont insure me.
