The Heko deflectors also come with some U shaped clips, these clips are pushed up into the slot where the window will go. The clip pushes the deflector away from the glass giving it an uninhabited movement to the fully closed position.
sounds like a good idea ..
i know there are some 'plastics' that are super slippery
recently replaced some bone guitar nuts with a special 'plastic' type
they're designed to prevent binding of the steel strings .. and work well
( as well as retaining a good 'tone' .. as run-of-the-mill plastic kills the tone )
in anycase .. wind deflectors or not .. the window cables will wear out 'n break .. someday .. fact-o-hippo-life![]()

You mean the tusq xl nuts by graphtech?
yeah .. i think so ( i.e. the brand name )
i'd have to find the packaging or research my internet orders to be 100% sure
2 years ago .. i built myself a strat from WDmusic parts ..
swamp-ash body - maple neck (fretboard) .. fixed bridge with KTS titanium saddles
stained the body with 'amber-leaf' tobacco mixed with turps .. finished in hard-wax-oil
about the same time .. bought a mexican fender tele thinline ( hollow body ) to set up
for playing slide on open string tuning .. and did not like the nut it came with
( nor the pickups ) .. am fairly sure it were a plastic nut .. and it had to go pronto
so took a chance on those tusq nuts .. and as far as i'm concerned they're great ..
( i've a squire jv strat with a bone nut for comparison .. also fixed bridge )

sorry .. that were off topic
er .. wind deflectors .. yeah worth it .. stickies or clip ins ..
they sure cut down wind noise when window be open ..
Well, I went ahead and ordered a set of four Heko clip in's.
I fitted the Heko clip in wind deflectors today.
They do restrict some of your view from the drivers seat.
More on passenger side as it partially covers the mirror.
Right turns are a bit harder now also due to my view being restricted.
Hopefully, I will get used to them, but if I don't then I may remove them.
