hi all
right went out to do the thermostat mod on the car today
read up on it so went and got a cheap dremmal to cut the metal band (pic attached)
i could not get in to cut it without first taking all the fu.king inlet manifold off
anyway thats all up in my kitchen now as seeing wife out tonight i may aswell try and get that all cleaned up ,also taken the fuel spil pipes off so i can replace them
anyway back to my question lol ,why cut that metal band ,approx 1cm past that there is a clip that looks like when undone you could maybe just pull it out ?
or even so why can you not just disconet the other end of the water pipe from the rad end and slid the thermostat in there ??????????
is it some thing to do with the height ie if at that end would be very hard to get rid of air locks????? or does it not matter?
