hi all, i was towing my boat the other day and heard a rush of air coming from rear of my 96 p38, pulled over asap and vehicle on bumpstops, cut a long story short car wont raise suspension front or back sat on bumpstops, im presauming its a rear air spring as it used to loose height overnight at rear, however all threads iv read about this say it should have error message on dash 35mph etc, which it doesnt, so im wondering am i barking up the wrong tree re air bags or something else happening aswell. i did drive vehicle for 3 ish miles on the bumpstops so wondering if iv messed something else, cheers for your help in advance

From your post I assume that you haven't got the unlock software and lead. A PM to DATATEK should be your first move, then you can read and reset whatever fault (s) you've acquired.

Of course if you'd put a location onto your details there might be a member on here with the kit living round the corner from you willing to give you a hand but . . .

hi sorry for that. im in cornwall and have got the unlock kit from datatek but have to get a lead to convert use to my laptop which is on way, cheers

It's an airspring failed or an airline. The ECU does not know there is a leak, it just keeps trying to pump the thing up if there is no other fault. Eventually the compressor will overheat then you will have a fault!

Agreed
the eas hasnt realised there's a problem yet
But it will do so dont drive it untill youve found and repaired the problem otherwise you could damage the rest of the deflated springs plus you will get the 35 mph beep
Sounds like what datatek said youve blown a hose or spring has failed most likley the added weight of the boat has blown a already week seal
When it went to bump stops did all 4 corners drop even or only 1 corner go down at first?
Wotth a first check is the hose on top of the spring, mine just poped off once and it was just a matter of cleaning the pipe and putting it back in
