Cheers Nodge68 thats just kicked my day off nicely lol.Only jokeing i think it will have helped that i was useing 2 stroke oil allready before the mistake but time will tell.If it does have a affect on the engine i will just trade it in for another but theres another pot of worms.Theresthat many different models that do different mpg and road tax has about 3 different amounts i wouldn,t know which model to go for.

From the preventative oil adding and the dilution of the petrol, with additional diesel will help you in your instance;).


My wife's GTC was a pretty typical example of what can happen, when driving with a good dose of petrol in the diesel. It probably wasn't helped by it's low mileage at the time. I would think that a low miles pump, with tighter tolerances, will suffer accelerated wear, by comparison to a higher mileage pump.
 
Hi going back to this topic i have just been speaking to someone who told me theres a misfuel reset tool that helps reset a flap that comes on in the filler neck when you try to put the wrong fuel in.He showed me a picture of said gadget and they are on the bay.So my question is why did it not stop me putting the wrong fuel in or is it just on the later models ???
