ffs paul thats a bugger could of been worse you could of been in the lakes

Rather have been laning .. but yeah, probably best how it happened!

Still not got the CV out, everything is locked solid and I can't be arsed to go further tonight .. too dark and cold .. :)

LOL, me knee says no .. ;)

Can't bend it properly and can't straighten it properly at the mo'. Hospital decided I didn't need surgery, they just pulled it apart with traction, 'manipulated it', which I translated as 'torture the fecker for 1/2 an hour' ... then decided that surgery would have been the better option after all! You'd think they had a clue ...

So will be having surgery as well within the next three months .. in the meantime I'm hobbling round like a #### with a bad knee that's got really bad .. ;)

shame about yer landie,
good news you survived to tell us all eh..

oh, I got a knee thats been waiting too,
went for talk with surgeon
but said he wanted to do hips first ??? wtf !!!
got to lose 5 stone plus before anyone will talk further,
that int gonna happen either.
today, eveything hurt while out walking in the snow lol..

So, got the stub axle and CV off .. and the CV joint and halfshaft look OK ..

Until you realise you can't separate one from the other so look a little closer and find gouge marks on the stub axle, and the remains of the bearing shell etc

and then find a 'bulge' in the 'flat' of the stub axle ..

So it looks like the CV to Stub axle bearing/seal went, which also fecked the wheel bearing .. or vice-versa! Who cares, new CV, stub axle and fittings and all should be good to go, Paddocks here we come .. except I'll actually use the local emporium, RCV Doncaster - Land Rover Service and Repair Specialists 'cos they're good lads and have been good to me in the past .. and offer a range of parts, cheap (Britpart/Allmakes) reasonable (OEM supplier) expensive, Landrover badged!!

my god you wer lucky
looking at all that lot eh....
bent it by the looks of it..

thank god his workers made landies tough enough to deal wiv the ruff,
and other stuff when it all goes wrong...
bin the parts,
or steam clean an make a trophy from it to each one of yer mates who fail in true spectacular style.. :)
