Hi folks,

Just noticed since yesterday gasping trouble starting first time in morning/evening after engine off a few hours.

it’s a Freelander TD4 only and only cranks up when I press the accelerator pedal a bit first time starting. After that starts straight away. Seems like not enough fuel/mix is getting to the engine.

changed the pump last year for a cheap one-very loud. Changed the Egr and Turbo valves also a year ago.
I’m guessing could be pump?

thanks for any feedback,
best,
Anthony

I guess you mean it only fires up when pressing the throttle?

Buying cheap Ebay type fuel pumps is false economy.
Buy OE Pierburg pumps only, and forget about it for a good few years.
