one rear wing rubbed down,the other 3/4 done..attacked rear underside as well..

rear steel bit came up nice!

3/4 done

mig turned up too..

The Cobel is not a bad wee mig for what it costs. They do a niffty plasma cutter that can be picked up of the bay now and again for around £350 reconditioned with guarantee

today was passenger side door evening..

the 99p door in question (ebay)..wrong waist seal,buerfect perfect,so thats the door paid for!

fecking hell its heavy,you try and mount it own your own!!

all the door frame bolts/screws came out!!(just)

found some rot in the ali...discovered a neat way to cure!!

then attacked rear quarter o/s to discover steely bit where light goes is shot...so got out the spare..swaps over tomorrow after bolts get good soak in wd overnight...

when it reacted did your seal it with summit on the re-do? if so what?

or did ya just rub it down more and go again?

wiped off paint with thinners..
then rubbed down again with 320 ali oxide paper on da..

then turned up heat in workshop till sweating..
then dusted effected area with same etch primer..goods ****e..cost 150
for 5l paint + 5 l activator

waited 10mins till gone off dusted again..then layered abit thicker..

all ok..only needed to sort middle of door..

stilll dont know why it reacted...no different on that door to rest of car...prehaps i layered first coat to heavy..?
