In a bid to avoid changing the swivel ball seals  , i had the bright idea of draining the remaiing oil and filing with one shot grease.:scratching_chin:

only one problem the britpart one shot sachet has a tube much too big to fit in the filler hole  .

what have other people done when filling their disco 1 swivel hubs ?

im thinking oil can or large syringe .

cheers Mike

I just did my 200tdi disco using the britpart one shot grease.. It fitted mine ok..

you mean this is a problem a landy owner cant sort out himself without the intervention of others ...................... you wait till you get a real problem then:D

Use papa G's super thick grease. It's just the best and fits in a grease gun. Morris oils sell it and pm me if you want the details.

is that a euphemism?:D

you should be grateful you can get your filler bolts off... mine are solid, not gonna try the drain plugs until i have got the filler ones off just incase

I did mine a couple of weeks back - and was expecting a job from hell, but one of the easiest I have ever done, couldn't believe how easy the bolts came undone, and snipped off the end of the grease, fitted no problem in the hole, and jobs done. Only downside to the job was waiting for the oil to drain out - for such a small amount, sure takes its time.....

Hi are you sure you are filling into the top filler, the one with the large square and not the small level plug down the side. Don't bother with the level plug as there is enough grease in each sachet for one hub. Although you may have to turn the steering slightly to get the tube into the hole. Scrutto
