Well after lots of listening and tyre checking for nails and stones, it seems the bearing in my driver side front hub which was replaced about 6 months ago is clicking, it clicks in one spot from cold But if it's wet it doesn't click, yesterday I drove about two miles and then poured water over the hub, it wasn't hot but the clicking stopped for about 4 miles normal road driving. Later in the day we had a massive downpour and no clicking was happening even after 12 miles. Dry bearing? Ghost in the machine? Weird water hating something?

No clicking happens if wheel is raised and spun round by hand and no gripping of brake disk by pads at any point when spun by hand.

Sounds dodgy,

I would be tempted to change it anyway, unless you can find another reason for the clicking.
Are you sure it is not the CV?

Cheers

I dont seem to find anything at all that could cause this, trouble is it only happens when weight is on the vehicle but even at 2mph it will always click at same point, I will have another look at the cv joint and cover again, it's just bloody annoying sounds like a nail in my tyre.
