P38 drove into a garage on penistone road huddersfield yesterday.
not a problem you'd think, but it hit the dividing wall causing the roof to collapse on the driver. apparantly the driver had a sneezing fit. the car veered across the other lane of traffic before hitting the garages.
hope it was noone on here.

I noticed the emergency services elected to bust the rear window and wrestle the driver out through window space, rather than press the boot release and open the tailgates to have more space to work with

A bit weird this, doesn't look like the airbags activated, and seems to be enough room to get the drivers door open to extract a coughing person. I would guess - given the position of the impact that the battery was smashed, so no power for the tailgate catches. Or, maybe one of the emergency services used to own a RR and had a bad experience and was getting his revenge. . .

They would have had to have electrics to move the seat to remove the driver backwards. otherwise it would do more damage than just opening the door

If they smashed the window they probably just snipped the back off the seat. I think the doors must all have been locked.

I think it's an SOP now to remove anyone from an RTA on a spinal board. Probably the Emergency services are petrified of a compo claim for injury.
