HNY! I got the rear RH window open the other day and then went to close it and nothing! No noises, no banging, just nothing. All of the other windows work fine. I've had the window stuck in the down position overnight. It is the right rear window on a 2000 4.6 Vogue (x reg)

I've checked Fuse 2 - that's OK. I've had the door casing off and checked all connections and they all seem to be OK. To get the window up I put a separate 12 volt supply on the motor directly to pin 1 and 3 (whilst it was disconnected from the car) and it rises and falls OK so it seems the motor is good but looking at rave there is some solid state stuff in the motor that provides the anti-trap sensor but I've no way to test this.

Any ideas where to check next? Could I have a dodgy window switch or centre console switch pack? It was the centre console switch I was using when the window "failed". All ideas appreciated :)

Don't suppose you tried checking if there was power through the harness and earth continuity when the switch was pushed, when you had the door trim off. That would be first step then work back to switch.

Thanks Wammers.
I tested for power on pins 1 and 3 of the harness but I did not check for earth continuity. I did not get power between pins 1 and 3 when pressing the rear door switch. I'll try again later and test the ground.
