Make sure you book it in for your solenoid recall ;):D

I’ve seen people have them inside an aftermarket rear bumper but not the boot. Suppose itl work fine with the way hatches open out the way. Get us a pic ;)

Cable as long as you like as opposed to a drum winch where diameter becomes an issue but also gearing as it changes as the cable winds in, plus needs no power and can be connected front or rear or used around the garden to pull out stumps or trees. Awesome bit of French engineering.

Hmmm, Datatek is a fan of LSD but personally I would go for the Airlockers.

Full lockers need a lot of extras, and when do you decide to put them in?
LSD and Torsen diffs are similar, as in they both do their own thing and you don’t really know. if you have TC too, either would help.
Problem comes when you break a shaft somewhere and you can’t lock it.
As I said it’s a pro v cons thing and what do you do:)

Don't need lockers except at extremes, especially if you have the 4w TC. You put lockers on when stuck or pretty sure you will be and only until clear. Only really needed them in clay in the past.

The P38 is very capable with the right tyres. Tyres make a big difference.

I won’t be welding this one up, drive like crap on the road chew fuel then too. Seem strong enough though (presume I have single pins)

@Grrrrrr - that’s not a winch, it’s a spensive ratchet strap ;)

TC is useless IMO, it only works for a limited time to stop the brakes over heating and stopping a wheel from turning is not the same as locking a diff when a wheel slips. I have to leave my P38 out when it gets frosty as it will not climb the grass slope from my covered parking despite the TC clacking away like machine gun. The Galloper with a rear LSD and no centre diff would drive out with ease.

Yes, definitely not as good as locker and loses momentum. It does help a little though, having tried 0wTC, 2wTC and 4wTC. LSD would help too. Not entirely convinced on the ATBs from Ashcrofts though.
