Tell you what folks what a pig of a job and not for the faint hearted, hope i can remember where all the wires go back to, never thought to label em up til it was too late...........hope i never have to do it again, thank god for the haynes manual..........poor thing looks naked........lol

It can be done with the dash in according to land rover

i think with the dash in, it would turnout to be a bodge job, the "o" rings need to seat correctly on the matrix and with dash in and the pipes not took out thats one hell of a task...............not alot of room under there folks....not sure if the matrix would clear everything to prize it out anyway......forgot to say its the 300tdi, dont know if its different on other models to remove.....

will upload some pics tomorrow folks......gone a bit dark here now and the camera is just not up to it..

Pretty sure a dearler does it dash in but i agree looks just as much a pain
 
There is 1 bonus to the job..........you can clean all the dust, debris,****e and rubbish from the heater channels and blower plus the crap behind the dash......and there was a good amount in there...........lol

I know when I did it on a laguna I could do it with dash in place and it wasn't bad but the aircon models require a full dashboard out job, so it could be different depending on the model of disco. Just a thought!
 
Not as bad as on a 200 that is a real npain as once out the heater box needs splitting but you normally break it while tryin to split it.
