back now, just tried a sexual act with it, lets see it if makes a difference, I wil be taking it back the garage I bought it from, let then do f-all for a week then pick it up for it to cut out on the way home,........... still my proper car is a SL 500, so I will just tie the garage up in a legal wrangle and run up legal bills for them

You know some how that is more than we needed or wanted to know. We don't really care if your other car is a Datsun Cherry(tho you would get ripped to **** for the admission). All the post is trying to say to us is (I,VE GOT LOADS A MONAAY). All Gaylander owners get a ribbing its a right of passage, no need to prove anything to us other than you have a GSOH:doh:

Since when has an SL 500 been a 'proper car'? Proper vehicle makes start with the letters 'Def' and finish with 'ender'!

Anything else ain't worth having!!

Really a proper landy isn't something which requires gaffer tape to keep the doors on or masses of electrickery to make it run
 
Since when has there been nothing wrong with Discos or Series, just like my Fender, they always need that bit of extra TLC, especially when it's freezing, ****ing down, blowing a hooley or snowing! :(

However, the SL 500 is one of them Mercedes that Bends after a slight altercation with my front towball, and he was quoted over six grand to have his front end sorted!! A bit of hammerite did it for me! :D

hi newtolandrover. don't be disheartened by the bullies :rolleyes: hope u get ur freelancer sorted soon :what: oh and i wouldn't have gone telling everyone about the sl500 :confused: you were inviting trouble :thumbdown: i own a disco 2, a classic mini and a BRAND NEW SKODA FABIA VRS but i wouldnt say so on here as im not THAT stupid
 
Well , what a great forum, for an update of my Freelander, ............(don’t get the gaylander reference!! still I suppose the old saying still stands.........."don’t knock it until you try it"!! , ) drove it to work .no problems, so I expect I will take 4 hours to get home to night.
I have the say the Merc 500 is like comparing a cow patt to a luxury chocolate cheesecake ...lol it is sophistication personified

Friend of mine - very wealthy business man - has a 1955 Gull-wing 300SL. His father bought it new, and I believe it is still shipped off to Germany each year for MB to remove a part, draw the item for their records, they then give it a full service and ship it back!

It is a really beautiful, but very small car, and I believe that there are only a couple of them left! Linky

Just another Saloon car that will be worth Fook all in a couple of years and end up in a crusher like all tin cans. However my fender will continue to hold value and even appreciate in price. And once the expensive electrickery gremlins get to work will you be calling a cheese cake or a cowpat then:doh::hysterically_laughi
