Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone could donate an old thermostat for me to experiment on?

Looking for a M62TUB44 stat please.

I am interested in fitting the 80degree thermostat kit into it and would like to trial it on a used stat in case I fcuk it up!

If you've taken out the stat, have a look at Rimmer Bros website, you're looking for a 2 lt SD1 stat, this is self contained in the pipe work not bolted to the engine, might be useful if it fits the pipe. Sorry I don't have a part number.

Sorry...you've lost me? What is this stat and his does it relate to what I'm wanting to do?

I'm not sure to be honest if it will help but it's a self contained thermostat in a housing. Not sure if it has extra outlets though?

You wont sod it up.

If it does go tits up I have a new one you can have for 1/2 price. I actually bought a new one as part of a large order and then decided on the mod after my lpg vaporiser nylon pipes crumbled apart.

It will sit in a box, then I'll forget where I put it and eventually my wife will throw it out without telling me, so it can be with you in a day or two if the mod doesn't work.
