I'm new of this forum, I'm Italian and I've got a fantastic land rover series 88... I love these cars..But now I've got a problem, I've just asked foor this in Italian forum but nobody has known answer my question. My lanvd rover has got an optional sump, his code is ERC2209, I've changed the oil but i?ve used 9 litres of oil and not 6+0,85(for the filter) as written on workshop manual.I've just see that the dipstick it's ok, it's long 47 cm(inner to the pointed hood), and the dipstick's tube is ok, 30 cm. So I want ask you if it's normal or if there's some problem, and wich it may be.

wtf is a optional sump? and is yer 88 FFR?

my is 88 dieseL 2 1/4...

I only know of two sumps standard and the military that has the pipes for the oil cooler .The actual size is the same I think.Is there an oil cooler fitted ?.
