Checked the oil on dash and it reads half full, Any ideas why it's not telling me how much to put in as the manual says?, TDV6 2014 sport

Cheers

No dipstick, just an electronic sender in the dipstick tube, displayed in dash binnacle in service section, as it only holds 5.7 litres total, I imagine low to high on dipstick is half a litre

Ok , trying to decipher what you've written, so I may get it wrong. Are you saying, when you go through the menu, you are not getting the digital level display at all?

Just realised reply wasn't by OP, which is why it didn't make sense
@90Steve as in Q 2 . Which message are you getting next to level, if any?

Hi guys.....it says OK next to level but half full you would expect a top up measure as it says in manual?

I hope your not expecting the manual to be accurate, ecause it’s a common book for every variant they make(this does seriously annoy me), however, it holds 1.5 litres between low and high mark, so my suggestion of .5 litre top up is not far out ! Good luck

Thanks for the reply, It was the electrical dipstick I'm hoping is working right, Showing half full and saying ok , does not fill me with confidence not showing top up with x number of ltrs, how low does it have to be before it says top up?
