at first i though it brake fliud, dripping from pasenger side front (left) mudflap! theres a brake pipe running along bulkhead that then goes down and forward, but fluid level not gone down, and felt too "oiley" for brake fluid!
had a closer look with a tourch and the brake pipe is fine, the dampness around it extends a lot higher than the pipe, there is a strange black plastic box between the EAS box and bulkhead, it has 2 stiff plastic pipes coming from it, 1 goes to the purge valve the other runs along bulkhead but i lost sight of where it goes!
between the box and the n/s of the vehicle looking down there is a puddle of what looks like oil, this has worked its way down over the under wing liner and its this thats dripping of the mudflap!
i see a damp patch on the under wing liner the other day but didnt give it any thought!
what is this strange box?
is it connected to the engine breather?
is this how it got oil in it?
is it a catch can?
should it be emptied periodicaly?
