Sure the bubbles are from the glow plug and not the injector? Cannot remember if there isa washer on the glow-plug or not. You could unscrew, check the threads are clean very carefully and then nip up to the correct torque with a smidgeon of copper grease to ease the threads in. That might stop it.

We're both having memory problems Grrrrrr, but I think its got a tapered seat so take it out, test it then a good clean and refit as per your post.;)

Thanks will try that any ideas why back injector has 2 returns for leak off one with a rubber over it nothing in rave

All the injectors are the same except no4 with the lead, and you only need one return feed so the last one is plugged off, standard practice on many injectors.

I'd have to have a look. Doesn't it daisy-chain across the injectors and then the last one (maybe the first one as you look at it) goes back to the tank? So 6 is the start and 1 is the last?

Trust you to bring sex into it.The injector nearest the radiator, number one, has one leak off pipe to the back of the injector pump and one to injector number two. This links to number three and do on until number six which has a blanking cap on one outlet because there is no number seven.

Thanks a lot for the help

I cannot see how a glow plug can show bubbles, there is no liquid in there to be lost as bubbles. I can see how leaking diesel running down onto it could show bubbles with a slight leak of combustion gas rather like what sometimes happens when number one spill pipe is leaking and diesel is trapped in the recess. The spill seal end cap is on number six injector.

You can get a full gasket kit for the FIP for about £16. Can be a bit of a tricky sod to get back together and all working again.
