Hello, after some advice again please for my Disco auto! The oil leak mentioned before that I thought was coming from Oil Cooler Banjos is not, there is very slight weeping but nothing major. Not leaking from Oil drain for the turbo, and not the oil filter or gasket. After running the motor from cold for 10 minutes and me crazy in cold and wet laying underneath oil is running out somewhere from the lower part of the Oil Cooler. It is definitely Oil, and not water and a reasonable amount as oil lays on the edge of the sump and drive etc. It seems with my little experience to be around the base of the Cooler near the engine mount. As mentioned I have zero mechanical experience before buying my first Disco and using this forum, You Tube etc to carry out work!!
Looking at past threads there is a picture of the oil cooler at a guess could it be the Inlet port to centrifuge filter or can oil leak from behind the cooler thought it held the coolant sorry if wrong!?
I am trying to understand what parts I need so when I strip down I can carry out the repairs as it is used daily.
Any other advice suggestions and parts needed would be very much appreciated.

Morning thx for the reply it is an Auto. sorry for lack of knowledge are you referring to the pipes on the oil cooler?
The oil leaking looks like engine oil

Yeah I was referring to the autobox cooler.

I don't think the engine has an oil cooler, but I can't speak for the V8, only the td5

The Td5 does have an oil cooler, but it's not a conventional air cooled radiator type, but a water cooled type built onto the side of the engine block on the turbo side.
An oil cooler was fitted to later V8's apparently from VIN 756821 (according to RAVE), which I believe is an air cooled type.
I had a small oil leak, possibly from the dreaded rear crankshaft seal (Noted as an MoT advisory 2 years ago). I tried using some oil seal treatment such as "Barsleaks" or "Wynns", there are others on the market and that seems to have stopped it, for the time being at least.

i was talking about an external air cooler, most diesels will have a water/coolant cooled cooler, my Peugeot has a small sandwich block on the filter
