Hi all
the small plug on the flywheel case seems to be leaking it is black oil, i think it is engine oil as the grar box oil is new, should there be oil there? Thanks

No. there shouldn't be oil there. Check that it is oil and not hydraulic fluid. If it's engine oil then its gearbox off and new rear crank seal. If it's hydraulic fluid then it's a new clutch slave cylinder. If it's gear oil you've been sold a dud.

im going to guess its the rear crank seal.

Definitely rear crank oil seal
done mine last year used to get a big puddle now not a drop

make sure you get a good quality part for the seal and O ring

its a gearbox out job but worth it esp if youre doing gbox at same time

I fitted a new engine to mine, all new bearings, seals. All was good for 2 weeks and the new rear crankshaft seal let go, oil ****ing out. Engine out replaced it, been fine for a year now. I always use OEM parts if I can, but some of them are still not great sometimes.
Make sure the inside of the seal is oiled when you fit the new one or you'll get to much friction from contact with the shaft, which will kill the seal.
