Still leaking !!! Just had sumo gasket and oil pump bolt replaced, was hoping that would be the end of the leaks (atleast for a short time) but sadley yes there is still the little tall tale mark on the road when it's been parked up. So, sump gasket is done, where now to I look for leaks, would post a photo, but can't up load directly from my phone and my pc is bust.

Cheers

Front of vehicle around front of gear box

So front of gearbox = rear of engine, remove the acoustic cover at the top of engine and feel for oil around the back of cam cover, oil could well be coming from there and running down the back.

Rear oil crank seal. Ball ache. Gearbox out, seal in really careful and seal over. I didnt so leaks like a bugger

Just done mine twice cos i thought still leaking at the back.left sump empty for 24 hrs after refitting all clean and spotless, next day oil at back of sump near bell housing.its running from top of engine so would say cam cover leaking.thatll be this weekends project.and i so wanted to decorate for the wife

Cam cover leak quite common - cam cover gasket tricky enough to fit properly .
At the back of the cam cover there is a semi circular part of the gasket which can be a problem to get right - space is a bit limited and the part sticking down may fail to seat properly .

One day I will reach that nirvana of a leak free disco. Going to
Christen the car frankenstein because due to budgetary constraints and constant things going wrong it's full of reconditioned parts
