I have the rear bumper off at the moment and was looking at the end of the chassis nice big hole. I was wondering if it was worth chucking some old oil I have lying about down in the chassis to slow the rust.

Would be interested to know , found plenty of threads on putting it on the outside but nowt about the inside.
Did an oil change the other day so now got 6litres to play with.
Dunno if it is a good idea or not, I have already pumped 5litres of dinitrol into my chassis
I would say its a terrible idea. A few drops of oil on a wet road causes an extremely sloppy surface which would be dangerous enough for cars never mind motorbikes. There's a lot of holes on your chassis and without doubt the oil would work its way out dripping everywhere.
If you really want to protect your chassis use something like wax oil.
