The Oil cooler which sits by side of radiator. This has two pipes with threaded connections to it. But right at the op there is a small (breather??) pipe which looks like it should have some kind of rubber pipe on it. Should it and if so where does it go!

bleed pipe back to header tank on a 300 tdi it goes via 3 way valve

Thanks (do you mean water or oil??) And why do I have one on a 200 tdi?

water ,same reason common on all seperate header tank systems

Got it. Have a pip to fit to it as well. Sorry must have been in sun too long!
