After sorting the autobox out i went out in the freelander and at one point over took a car uphill

1/2 mile later i park up to find oil everywhere right up to the rear towing eye on the floor pan.

That night i fitted my Roverron and noticed the turbo pressure filter is full of the same oil and it looks like its been spraying out of there ??

Steam cleaned of last night and will re investigate
 
Not that im aware of

Took it for a run today and all seemed fine. no new leaks

Got to say its getting me down now, every trip is an adventure with the thought of will i get back

I know i have just about fixed all its faults but im fed up of looking under the undertray every week

this filter has bin documented ,easy fix, has bin known fer oil ta spew out if it gits clogged. . . .:)

ming, why didn't you add some pics to show where it's located. I'm sure by doing a search you'll be able to find some ???:cool: :cool: :cool:

well willo its cos. . . .i'm the ruler of the universe ,un i'm not gonna wipe their botty's fer them. . . . .:p :D ;)
 
I searched it already and found some pics

Going to have a look at it first before i pay £25

It may be for sale by the end of the week
 
Checked breather today, Oily filter but looks ok, all the plastic chamber was nice and clean gave it a bit of a clean but nothing major

Replaced the turbo filter

Spirit levelled the car and rechecked the IRD level

Topped up the rear diff and cleaned the bung

Going for a run now to see what happens :confused:

Onlt got a squeaky frt brake to sort and thats it
 
Found the problem

Since the IRD has been out twice the osf driveshaft seal has a slight leak

Must have been spraying up and sucked through turbo filter

Happy now that it aint much

There is a crankcase ventilation valve that has to be replaced every 24000 miles / 2years and also the turbo boost pressure control valve vent filter has to be replaced at the same time. It might be worth you changing these to start with bud.
