erm.. what you done to your head???

nuffink. I got fed up with the coolant pressure getting high again and took it back to the engineering company under warranty. The headgasket turned out to be ok but they had missed 2 cracks when they tested the head previously. So the whole time I've had my landy it's had a cracked head.:mad::mad:

ouch.. so you getting it welded or getting a new one?

damn.. but if it's under warranty surely it's up to them to sort that out? ?

I am trying to find out how I stand legally.

We had a similar incident at work a couple of years back. A customer brought their car to us to get the headgasket done. we got the head pressure tested and skimmed and fitted it all back together again. 2 weeks later the customer came back complaining. We stripped it back down to find all was good. when we went back to the engineering company it was found that the head was cracked. We found a secondhand head and they cleaned it all up and renewed everything on it and then fitted it to the vehicle for free.

The number of coolant sensors, fuel coolers expansion caps and thermostats I've been through it mounts up to quite a bit. A temp sensor is £18 and I'm on my 3rd. A fuel cooler is £250 and I've had 4 etc.

Thats what I get for taking it to a specialist instead of a backstreet grage more like.:mad::mad:

the warranty must stand for something.. even if it's just a refund for the original costs..

Yep. But I would still need to get the work done after. My plan is to get it running again and then sort things out.;)

Is his landy sorted now?

Yep noo rear stub axle fitted and it's as good as noo. Just fitted a boost gauge to it and the turbo's working properly. So we're gonna dump the sedimentor next to see if that helps.

still ere, just all busy at the momet, spoke to boomer, drew and nigel, tryin to sort summit out when we can all get together........work commitments are hindering my laning time...oh and wife and kids
