Sean thankd for the inormation I am buying one of this heat exchanger fab peice of equipment. cheers mate.

Re_pollak valves, in a dual tank system, for the sake of reliability I use 2 three port ball valves, both mounted in the driver's side seat box, one to switch from diesel to oil and the other to divert the return line fuel into the appropriate fuel tank.
Also another good tip is to fit a vacuum gauge, this will let you know if your filter is starting to clog up, fit a T piece in the veg oil fuel line, between the filter and the IP, the lower the reading on the vacuum gauge, the better the filter, I have had the same filter for a year now and the gauge is still showing in the red ( poor vacuum ).

Kind regards...Ron

I have been using a mixture of diesel/veg oil for a while now mostly 50/50 but have purposely experimented with straight veg oil and no diesel for the most of december and my landy positively loves it I have not noticed any difference in cold starting and performance does not appear to be suffering the only down side is the flippin supermarkets have put the prices up so I intend to buy loads from an wholesaler so the savings should be even better.

Leekegs:)

Remember, adding about 10% kerosene to a veg oil brew makes all the difference in cold weather.

I agree, however it renders all of the fuel liable for duty, as it does if you stick Petrol in it. Agreed the risks are low and they would need to get a lab analysis to successfully prosecute. basically if pulled, dont mention :):)
