went to yarwell today in my disco td5 auto, had a brilliant time again, went throught the pond a few times then got over confident and slipped in a bit too deep, oops,
got tugged out opened the doors to let the foot of water out and to my amazement the disco fired up on the turn of the key,
however when i tried to drive it died, it idles perfectly, but then as soon as you lift the revs she cuts out,
left her idling for 30mins the manage to drive but then she cut out above 2000rpm,
managed to do 50miles of my 90 mile journey before it completely gave up and had to be carried home on a wagon,
its really strange the gearbox mode button does not work and it seems like its stuck in manual mode hi or low range,
ecu dry as a bone any ideas

Throttle potentiometer clean it with distilled water to get mud off
Dry
Then switch cleaner

did not think of that at all, ill have to put it on the list of thinks to check along with crank position senor

"over confident" yeah, saw you go though a few times, getting braver and braver each time!

Hope you manage to sort your truck out mate, no doubt see you up there again.....

.....in the shallower bit :D

WD40 is not good for connectors, contact cleaner lubricant is better.

oh dear right ive calm down after driving my disco about for a bit and realized its somehow stuck in limp mode however the m and s lights are not flashing, they pass the ignition test and then go out,
