As if to prove i am completely nuts, I have finally bought myself a fender.
It is indeed like driving a mix of van and tractor
minimal luxuries and the disdain of my peers
and I bloody love it! :D
and for those who would have posted the "this thread is useless without pics" thing.

:welcome2: ... looks great but it's a TD5 ... that's like driving a modern tractor, you don't have the noise, rattles, knocks and bangs that us Tdi drivers get! Nice one though and by the way :nopics:eek:f the girlfriend too! ;)
 
looks super well done ! i shall be joining you and making a thread like this once i find the right one to buy and get her home !
 
Very nice Landy but it is too clean and looks to be dent free which is a faul. Your landy should look like it got into a fight with Chuck Norris. Now talk real nice to the better half (if applicable) so you can start bolting on the required toyz

Yes, very much agreed. That there looks like a very tidy blank canvas. We must immediately know what modifications you are planning, and require that you report back within one week with pictures of it dirty and, if poss, a little beaten up.;)

Seriously though, nice landy. :)
 
Remember; use protection! Chequer plate, steering guard, bull bar, light guards, snorkel.
 
Nice looking fender welcome to the fold, now go and get it covered in mud and a few dings to give it character:D:D
 
Welcome to the Defender club. I'm sure the longer you have it the more you will enjoy it. It does need a few dents and a bit of mud on it though.
 
Nice clean motor there, great colour to. You look very proud and pleased with yourself. And you bloody should be. We make some good decisions in life, and some bad ones, and you've just made a very good one. Enjoy!:)

My only plans at the moment are for a cubby box
And maybe a safari rack
Any views on the acoustic front mats?

Yep it needs to get muddy, not sure about dents though!
Mind you give it a few weeks :)
And - nope the smiling hasnt stopped yet

Not long had my td5 defender mate and love it! Took mine off road at billing the day after i got it :D

spanking gorgeous. edit your pics and lose your reg no. Loads of thieving cloning pikey bastids around. spend a small percent of what you paid on securing it. Having one half inched hurts like hell.
you can stop grinning now,

kinda depressing in a way, but nothing will erase my stupid smile :D
maybe i should forget the cubby box and the safari rack and go for 4 giant wheelclamps instead :eek:
