Hey people!

Does anyone know of any off-roading in SW France, around the Gironde Estuary/Charente Maritime region (about an hour or so from Bordeaux)?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

I got came very close to getting nicked off roading in hire car in the south of France last year while on me hollydays.

Some fellah in a yellow 4wd Berlingo got well stroppy with me...i think.
Can't speak the lingo proper, but judging by his face and gesticulations, he wasn't happy and was muttering summat about the Gerndarmes.

Some crackin' mountain tracks over there though.

Ah! Yellow Berlingo.....probably the postman or the owner of the vineyard you were driving across, or perhaps you had a Parisian registered number plate - they hate the Parisians (all of France does). Oh, and you don't wanna mess with the Gendarmes!!

What you looking for & when? and yeh you can still get Guillotined out here for off-roading with out permission
