Wheal Jane is well known throughout Kernow. So, if you had an off-road site, you might think it a good idea to call it Wheel Jane as a play on words.
That explains the 2 different geographical locations.

Now d'ya gerrit?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhh
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
duhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
no.

Eeebnin all,
I was supposed to be doing an organized 'drive your own' day near St Mawgan (Nanswhiden?) today, but I'll be buggered if I could find the place.
My loving wife purchased a voucher via a website that does all sorts of corporate schmorporate stuff, but the organisation is **** poor!
They where quite happy to take the money but directions to the sight where not emailed as promised so I only had sketchy details as to the location and it's the arse end of beyond, and they have a 'message service' rather than picking up the feckin phone like any decent business.......all in all pretty ****ed off after an hour of driving round, being nipped by farm dogs, and stared at by some very hostile looking natives, although got to see some bits of Cornwall I didn't know so not all bad.
Back to the Stoggs......................

mmmmmm stoggs mmmmmmmmmmmm
That sounds dire, i think we need a contingency plan. Poss a bit of laning but would be good to get out and do some proper muck. Fancy a go at the Wheal Jane one some time?

Wheal Jane sounds good, need to check legality, as It rings a bell as an area that was used by bikes and 4x4's that had locals kicking up about arsenic dust and noise!!!
There was talk about plod seizing and crushing vehicles driving illegally, not that I'm paranoid..........
Would be quite amusing to set yourself up as a bogus land owner charging folks £10 a pop to drive on land you don't own, only to disappear as the bizzies show up, not that I'm suggesting that's what this chap is doing of course.

I have an O.S map marked up with some legal lanes by Cornwall TRF that I did on the bike a couple of years ago, although from what I remember some where rather 'challenging' on the bike so may prove a bit too much for our landies.

Would probably be worth checkin the legality! - Where's Doey when yer need him, i think he had a phone number to call.

Would be fun to do some green lanes, as have found quite a few on me travels which i try and do when i;m out and about - there's loads round Perran Downs - but all seem a but far and not all that long!

There's supposed to be a good site at Hayle, nearer your neck of the woods than mine, have you heard anything bout it?

When we went there, the entrance was also the entrance to the blokes house, and it wasn't signposted or anything it was purely by enquiry that we found it. He may have made it more commercial now, if it is legit which it looked like it was, but i wud be surprised as it was only june that i was there.

Can you remember (and describe) how you got there Boydy, i'm down that way this week, i'll try and pop over and ask about it, maybe we could try and organise a bit of a Kernow get-together?
