I need to get meself some new engine mount rubber as mine have perished and are now causing unbearable vibration. I wanted the infamous soft ones that Glencoyne supplies, but he doesn’t have any stock and never seems to know if he’ll get any more. Does anybody know if these OE ones are any good? They seem a bit too cheap, but I’m not paying £20 each for LR ones if they’re exactly the same!
Any other recommendations welcome too. Cheers

I fitted the glencoyne ones to the tdi in my series and they certainly made a difference, I was under the impression they were just OE ones he sold on?
The cheap ones might be okay, in fact I think I have cheapies on my 90 tdi and cant say I noticed any more or less noise when they were fitted.

Cheers mate, those Borg&Beck ones look the part, I’ll get a set ordered. Thanks again.

Ur very welcome , I’m pretty sure I fitted some Borg and becks on my old series

Imagine the poly plastic ones don’t allow for much adsorption

Apparently they’re from Bearmach, but I contacted them and they claimed they didn’t supply any that are different to their regular ones.
I’ve read of people fitting genuine and then converting to the Glencoyne because the genuine were too hard. Glencoyne’s do look slightly different to what other suppliers offer, but I’m going to try those Borg&Beck ones and report back.

I ordered some direct from bearmach and they do feel softer compared to the Britpart ones I also ordered. Not fitted any yet so can't tell what they are truly like .
